(Challenging trekking/Mountaineering Adventure) - 31 day trip
At 6476m (21246 feet) altitude, Mera is the highest trekking peak in Nepal, yet is accessible to anyone of excellent fitness with a keen desire to climb high in the Himalaya. This is a trekking and climbing expedition into a spectacular region of Nepal. Mera Peak lies at the head of the Hinku Valley, a wilderness area located adjacent to the Khumbu region and Mt Everest. Views from the summit of Mera and it's upper slopes may be considered some of the best offered to aspiring climbers in the Nepal Himalaya. Our approach takes us through southern foothills that contain large tracts of rhododendron forest and self-sufficient communities such as the Sherpa people, living off the land.
