(Introductory and Moderate Level Trekking) - 27 day trip
From the picturesque villages below the mystical mountain of Machapuchare to the flanks of Ama Dablam and the jungle plains, this trip enjoys the very best combination of trekking and sightseeing, and is an excellent introduction to the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal. Beginning with a warm up trek in the Annapurna region we follow less travelled trails past Hindu villages and gain stunning views of the Annapurna range from various vantage points. Next we travel by vehicle and on elephant back to the idyllic Chitwan National Park where it is possible to sight the Royal Bengal Tiger. Feeling refreshed and fit we head to the Everest region where we divert off the main trail towards Ama Dablam, gaining breathtaking views of the Lhotse Face and the rising peak of Everest. Here the Sherpa culture and high mountain ranges will be provide an excellent contrast to the more forested and predominantly Hindu Annapurna's. The altitudes reached are moderate but certainly high enough to offer spectacular mountain panoramas and each trek is timed to allow for an easy and relaxed pace. Returning to Kathmandu and the comforts of our group hotel we can appreciate the diversity of our experience and perhaps plan our next Himalayan adventure!
